Teen Vogue November Issue

Both, rising teen supermodels Jourdan Dunn and Chanel Iman are gracing the cover of Teen Vogue's newest november issue. Chanel Iman Robinson, named after designer Coco Chanel, was signed at only age twelve with Ford Model. The eighteen year-old African-Amercan and Korean mixed model graced her first Teen Vogue cover at age sixteen. But until a few years ago with the arrival of Jourdan Dunn, Chanel Iman was one of a few black supermodels on the scene.

Discovered in a chain store in London, nineteen year-old Jourdan Dunn, at five-foot-ten, quickly launched herself as a "force to be reckon with" in the model scene. Dunn made history by being the first black model to walk in a Prada show in over a decade. In the Teen Vogue november issue, "double whammy" piece written by Jane Keltner and photographed by Patrick Demarchelier-- both girls admits that it is hard being a black model. "It's competition" says Jourdan. While, Chanel says that "You're being told, 'So and so is only booking one black girl." Jourdan, who is expecting a boy in December also admits that her unplanned pregnancy "was really hard" and that Chanel was one of the first people she confided in.

Lindsay’s Fashion Line hits rock bottom?

      Getty Images

Lindsay’s recently debuted line at Paris Fashion Week with designer, Estrella Archs was a flop. Lindsay, named “artistic advisor” of French fashion house Emanuel Ungaro, was collaboratively working with Archs on the collection.

According Britain’s Daily Express the collection was “truly hideous fashion faux pas,” specifically mentioning “silver sequined pasties” that “belong in a lap dancing club.” Women Wear Daily called the clothes “cheesy and dated”, saying it “displayed none of the promised younger side Lohan was supposed to deliver “, while The L.A. Times claims that “when Lohan came out for a runway bow, her eyes were full of tears. And it's easy to see why...The fashion crowd is a tough one, and the fangs were out for this collection from the beginning."

Style.com pointed out that “in all fairness the designer, Estrella Archs only had a month to design the Spring/Summer collection.” Courtney Hazlett from msnbc.com, stated that “Lohan was just named artistic director for the fashion house weeks ago. But she comes to the position with a resume that doesn’t exactly instill a lot of hope. Other than being an avid shopper, her only experience in fashion design involves her own line of leggings.”

Will Lindsay ever get back on top of her critics "good list"?

Better luck next time Lindsay!
